Frequently asked questions

What happens when I hit the 10-document limit?

Your existing documents stay published and accessible. You just won't be able to publish new ones until you upgrade to Pro or unpublish an existing document.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the dashboard. You'll keep Pro features until the end of your billing period, then your account reverts to Free.

Is the API included on the Free plan?

Yes. API keys and CLI access are included on every plan. We built OpenDocs for AI-tool power users, so gating the API would go against that.

What does "workspace visibility" mean?

Workspace visibility means only members of your workspace can view the document. It's private by default. Pro unlocks public publishing, restricted email sharing, and other visibility modes.

Do readers need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can read a public document. Workspace-visible documents require the reader to be a workspace member.

Will there be a Team plan?

Yes! We're building Team features (unlimited workspaces, admin controls, audit logs) for when the product matures. For now, Free and Pro cover most use cases.
