What happens when I hit the 10-document limit on Free?
Your existing documents stay published and accessible. You just won't be able to publish new ones until you unpublish one or upgrade to Pro.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. You'll keep paid features until the end of your billing period, then your account reverts to Free.
Is the API included on the Free plan?
Yes. API keys and CLI access are included on every plan, Free included. We built OpenDocs for AI-tool power users, so gating the API would go against that.
What's the difference between PDF export on Free and Pro?
Free users can export an unlimited number of PDFs, but every exported PDF carries a small "Made with OpenDocs — opendocs.cc" footer and uses the default OpenDocs branding. Pro removes the footer, adds Word (.docx) export, and lets you customize colors, fonts, logo, and footer.
Why does Team have a 3-seat minimum?
Team is for real teams: unlimited workspaces, unlimited members, role-based permissions, and priority support. A 3-seat minimum ($12/month) keeps Team genuinely more expensive than Pro's $8 flat rate, so Team is the plan you choose for collaboration, not as a cheaper Pro.
Can a Team plan add or remove seats anytime?
Yes. Add seats as you grow; billing is prorated. You can remove seats at renewal; the plan enforces the 3-seat minimum.
Are there rate limits?
Yes. They're the same across every plan: 600 writes/hour and 6,000 reads/hour per API key. A real workflow (publishing and exporting dozens of docs while iterating with AI) won't come close to hitting them.
Can readers view public documents without an account?
Yes. Anyone with the link can read a public document, on every plan. No sign-up, no login.
